Born in 1942 Mike Cappelletti became a bridge and poker authority in many gambling spots of the world. He is well-known for his books on poker. Among them are Cappelletti on Omaha, Poker at the Millennium and How to Win at Omaha High-Low Poker and The Best of Cappelletti on Omaha. What concerns bridge, he wrote the book 100 Bridge Problems: Using Poker Tactics in Contract Bridge.

New York Time Magazine wrote that the Cappelletti couple is the best husband-wife bridge partnership in the world in 1980s.

This book's position is a guide for Omaha 8. The readers, who later actually applied recommendations of the author, were amazed, as they really worked. Moreover, there are explanations given for everything.

But at the same time some readers find it a bit complicated, as the author gives much math explanations, which are difficult to follow. At the same time he dies not suggest any other easier or even universal solution to the hitting a low, high, or scooping against a random hand.

What concerns his explanations on the computer simulations, he slightly drifts away from the point. But his ability to give some brilliant recommendations still remains in his personal exploits. Sometimes his explanations on the systems are difficult and it takes time to figure it out but it is doable. He participated in several poker tournaments. Among them are World Poker Finals, where he took 4th place in Limit Hold'em in 1997. In 2000 he took 19th place in New England Poker Classic again in Limit Hold'em. And in 2008 he took 4th place again in Mid American Poker Classic in No Limit Hold'em Turbo.
